Andy had a python guitar strap he bought in the 80's. (see pic) It was never very comfortable, so he decided to put it on eBay. He listed it with a starting bid of $50. I thought that was too high...after all, the strap was nearly 20 years old. It sold for $240! I was shocked. Andy was pleased...and convinced there must be a market for snake skin guitar straps!

In 2004, after many months of designing and developing the product, AF Designs was born. I still think we should be called AJ (Andy & Jen) Designs...because honestly, Andy just isn't all that handy with a sewing machine! But it was his idea.
